The new interface of www.thermalremediation.com is more beautiful, attractive, more user friendly and mobile friendly. The new website has a very easy navigation, and we’re told that these are the main reasons the website redesign project was started by employee Amanda Rahn…
A primary reason we designed a new website was to increase the usability of ThermalRemediation.com on mobile devices and tablets. Our new site is designed to be mobile responsive meaning the design of the site automatically adjusts based on the device, such as a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer, being used to view a certain page. After taking a look at our Google Analytics trends, we realized that a significant percentage of individuals viewing our website over the past year were on a smartphone, thus we wanted to cater to this on-the-go audience to provide the best overall experience possible.
Being mobile responsive the site has the ability to automatically resize itself to fit in perfectly to the screen of any mobile device, so one of the main goals for the purpose of the redesign was achieved. Since most of the users today visit the website through mobile device and smartphones, it was obviously needed for the website to be responsive and fast in loading.
The logo on the new website is sharper and smaller but the new size is perfect. The new website has static images which is a good one unlike the previous website where the images changes and causes distraction. The images on the new website are well positioned and display some information whenever the pointer is placed on it. The images are attractive and visually interesting. Any visitor will want to take a second look to know what it is really all about. I observed that when I opened the old website on my smartphone, it took some time before the images were finally displayed but on the new website, everything (both the texts and images) came up at once.
These images show the new look of the website and the old look of the website. The text on the new website is very bold, users do not need to zoom in or zoom out before they can read what is written on the page, also the website has resized itself automatically to fit the screen of the smartphone.
These images show the new website and old website interface on desktop device.
The new website looks more professional. On the old site where the image is bigger than the text beside it, makes it to look amateurish. Most of the images on the old website are blurry and poor quality but all these have been rectified in the new website. The content of the new website has been updated and rewritten and also the new website contains information about bed bug conference that is to hold next year
Along with the better look it has also made it easier for the user to find what they are looking for, and easier use once they do because the new website no longer requires customer to sign in before they can view the products and their price. Also an interactive map is included in the “Find a Service” page to make it very easy for anybody that have beg bug challenges and is looking out for Pest Control Company to contact them.
The overall interface of the new website is clean, user friendly and have a polish look.
